Available Widget Areas
Widget areas (or Sidebars) usually contain widgets that an administrator of the site can customize. Widget areas are very important in this theme if you want to build original page layouts. We’ve created many widgets areas and useful Widgets which combined can help you create modular pages.
Available Widget Areas
By default Vivi offers the following widget areas:
The main sidebar can be enabled or disabled on pages and posts, and displayed on the left or right side of the content.
Beside the main sidebar there are other widgets zones as you can see in the image above.
Custom Widget Areas
With Vivi you can also build out your own widget areas to be used in the page settings area.
In the Flothemes – Content Settings – Sidebars options, you can create custom widget zones that can be used on individual pages or posts instead of main sidebar. Simply click the + sign, name the sidebar and save changes.
This will then be available in Appearance > Widgets.
Page Settings
These 2 areas that can be enabled on only specific pages if you want to show items only on a few pages, above the page content and below the page content, go to the page, and then in the Page Settings Area below the main content you can select if you want to enable either option on a page per page basis. You can use the custom widget areas that you’ve created above to give you more page customization:
