Single Gallery Tutorial
Adding a single gallery in Vivi is simple.
Step 1 – Add new Gallery
In the WordPress backend, go to Galleries > Add New:
Step 2 – Title and Content
Add your title and any general descriptions.
Step 3 – Attach Images
This box is added by the theme, and it allows to add to, sort and delete images from your gallery, this should be below the main content.
Step 4 – Add Categories and Tags
You can use categories and tags to define sections of your site and group related galleries.
Step 5 – Featured Image
Add a featured image. The featured image is used on listing pages to represent a gallery post.
Step 6 – Choose Gallery slider type
You can choose from 3 available slider types.
By default is used the slider set under the Gallery options, but value selected on the single gallery post will have the priority.
There are 3 options, the masonry grid view with Lightbox gallery, a simple gallery with the thumbnails below, and the visible nearby gallery, with images each side of the main image.
Step 7 – Publish
Publish the gallery and it will appear in the latest galleries page.
Global Gallery Settings
There are also settings that will affect all the gallery posts. These settings can be found under Flothemes > Content Settings > Galleries
Options here include:
– Spacing (gutter) between the masonry images
– Number of columns
– Social sharing options
– Label and link for the back to galleries button
– etc.
You can also select the global single gallery layout. (This is overwritten by settings inside a single gallery post)
