Each gallery post has several fields to edit. Each field is described below.
Title and Content – these fields have the same role as on default blog posts.
Attached Images – this box is added by the theme, and it allows to add to, sort and delete images from your gallery.
Categories and Tags – You can use categories and tags to define sections of your site and group related galleries.
Featured Image – a featured image is usually used on archive pages to represent a gallery post.
Gallery slider type – you can choose from available slider types. By default is used the slider set under the Sliders options, but value selected on the single gallery post will have the priority.
Gallery Settings
There are also settings that will affect all the gallery posts. These settings can be found in several places.
Under ‘Sliders‘ option you will find the settings related to the Slider Type used to display the images attached to the gallery:
You can check below how the 2 gallery types look like, and the characteristics for each one of them:
The first slider type will arrange the images one after another and uses the full screen width. It is good for listing images that have different aspect ratio.
The second slider type will display one image at a time and will use the page width only.
The first slide is a bit specific, it will use half of the slide to display the gallery title and gallery content.
Other gallery options can be found under ‘Posts Settings‘ tab:
Image sizes – you can set the height of the gallery images under the image size options:
