Single Gallery

Each gallery post has several fields to edit. Each field is described below.

Title and Content – these fields have the same role as on default blog posts. Do not add the gallery images to the content area, use the ‘Attached images’ section shown next.

Attached Images – this box is added by the theme, and it allows to add to, sort and delete images from your gallery. It should be below the content box shown above, if not it will be on the right hand side. Make sure to attach the images to use the gallery sliders.

Categories and Tags – You can use categories and tags to define sections of your site and group related galleries. This is useful if you want to create various ‘Latest Galleries’ pages using different categories.

Gallery Settings

There are also settings that will affect all the gallery posts. These settings can be found in several places.

Under ‘Sliders‘ option you will find the settings related to the Slider Type used to display the images attached to the gallery:

You can check below how the  3 gallery types look like, and the characteristics for each one of them:

Gallery Option 1 – the slider will arrange the images one after another and uses the full screen width. It is good for listing images that have different aspect ratios.

Gallery Option 2 – the slider will display one image at a time and will use the page width only. The first slide will use half of the slide to display the gallery title and gallery content, so you should use a placeholder image here with the subject focus on the left hand side of the image.

Gallery Option 3 – The third gallery layout is not a slide it is a grid, it allows to select the number of columns and the spacing between the images. Depending on the settings you use you will get various looks. Note that is will allow for both landscape and portrait images and is masonry.
