Adding a Video post

Mimal does not have a specific post type like some of the other themes on offer. However you are still able to have video posts by creating a standard blog post and then use one of the following methods to the video:

1)Use Flo Shortcodes plugin and  add the responsive videos shortcode into standard posts.

Add the URL in the Video URL section, the links from the major video providers will be automatically recognised and rendered. You can check here the full list of supported services. Then insert shortcode.

You will then have a shortcode that looks like the following:

[flo_video] https://vimeo.com/83991550 [/flo_video]

You can add as many as you’d like in a post. If you want to show only video posts on a single page, then make sure to add a specific category to these posts.

2) Use the WordPress built in feature of rendering media content. To do that, you just have to add your vide URL in the post content. Make sure the URL is on its own line and not hyperlinked (clickable when viewing the post). and it will be rendered automatically. The list of the supported services is the same as for the responsive video shortcode:  the full list of supported services.

After adding the videos using the preferred method, you work with the blog post as you usually do, i.e. add featured images, categories and/or tags and then publish the post.
